Visy.net converts a FLV file (Youtube‘s movie,etc) to another format (AVI/MOV/MP4/MP3). The service is using a unique technologies (JP), and converts FLV to MPEG4 faster and losslessy than a typical transcoder. When you submit an url, this service will download and convert the video format. Then you can download the converted file.

Google Inc. has agreed to acquire in-game advertising company Adscape Media Inc. for $23 million, according to technology site Red Herring, which cited sources familiar with the matter.
A Google spokesman declined comment, saying the company’s policy is not to respond to “rumor or speculation.”
Video game industry analysts said the acquisition, if successful, could give a boost to the nascent in-game advertising market.
Adscape competes with advertising start-ups Double Fusion and IGA Worldwide, which have already inked deals with major publishers.
It also has a rival in Microsoft Corp., which last year paid $200 million for in-game ad company Massive Inc. — lured by Massive’s agreements to place ads in online games from UbiSoft Entertainment SA, THQ Inc. and Take- Two Interactive Software Inc

India’s largest software exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) hopes to break into the coveted club of global top 10 IT services companies in revenue terms by end of the current fiscal – way ahead of the earlier anticipated timeline of 2010.
“The company currently ranks 12th on revenue basis. We had pegged the timeframe for joining the top ten club, at 2010. However, on certain parameters like net profit, market capitalization and employee strength we are already in the top five or six list. We hope to join the top 10 league in revenue terms by end of the fiscal,” TCS CEO and MD S Ramadorai told ET.

IT professionals across all levels can now check whether their employers are paying them adequately or not. IIM-A, IISc along with nation-wide ITPF (IT Professionals Forum) have launched ITPaycheck.com, which provides latest compensation status of different positions across the IT and BPO sector.
From software engineer and sales executive to project manager and vice president, the site caters to all.
According to ITPaycheck.com, the total remuneration for a vice president in the IT industry is Rs 22,95,163 approximately. The total variable pay of a V-P in the industry is approximately Rs 19,70,658.
In contrast, a software engineer in the industry gets about Rs 4,61,774 as total pay and Rs 4,32,334 as total variable pay.

A week after launching what he called the most secure Windows version ever, Bill Gates outlined a strategy for Microsoft Corp. and the rest of the industry to improve security in the broader online world.
In one example, Gates said last week that Windows will support a grass-roots technology for signing in to Web sites using automated digital credentials, rather than typing passwords each time. Microsoft said its decision to back the OpenID initiative dovetails with a new identification system built into Windows Vista.
