i have been workin with tcs since last 2.5 yrs, what iwoulld say abt it is that… here everything is dependent on luck. City Technology, project everything is dependent on luck… Middle management sucks. They only only one word..’status’ which they take from developers and send to their seniors… Company is nice for you only if you are senior…it’s like colleage hostel.. u get ragged when you r junior (3-4 yrs). Once you become senior, start ragging your juniors..

hi all…i hv joined tcs this yr..and i can say about tcs only …here training s come,enjoy, go…then stay tuned in bench for 3-4-7-9 months…even others r in bench ..two TL will fight to take you in there project…if you r north indian they #### you like dog…but not all the case…RMG is very arrogant ..even they will ask why you come inside my cabin ..stay out side during bench….appreciation ..if you work you cant get it…a girl..or a south indian..will take it..you only have to see and say that ok i will never do it again…

People who say TCS is good are at MainFrame position or Some other position or Non-Technical like Release Managment or they have got onsites easily. There is no regulated process for taking ppl onsite. The Most JUNK thing is the Rating System. they put rating as per the wish of the manager, cowards, cowards all managers. They DONT know what is JAVA, and say one accomplishment that you make in JAVA, your manager will never realize. Completely Indian. Technically skilled never gets a good name. they feel they may speak too much, so bad rating. No career growth, all JUNK Projects. I know a lot of 7-10 yr experience people never once to onsite , but a lot of freshers 2-3yrs have stayed at onsite for a long time. Also, they process lot of VISA and make them SIT at India, untill the VISA Expires, simply, you try to speak this to your manager, you will be given BAD rating and sent out. There is not one good point i can make about TCS. it is BULLSHIT, Do you ever wanted to be part of it ?????? Then what are you ?

The No1 BULLSHIT is TCS. Considering people with JAVA in TCS.
MainFrame people live a peacefull life. thought lot of work, technology will give them a good hand. If you are even a little good at JAVA, never join TCS.

hi, on reading the article and comments below I would like to point two things to people. 1. Don’t join Infy/TCS as freshers, go for some small company which focuses on ur technology (which u want) and work there. I agree pay grade will be less but you will establish a base for yourself.
2. Join TCS/Infy/Cogni or any mid-size company after 3 years of IT career at senior level these companies are awesome.
3. You may be mahan in your engineering college, the real life starts after that guys, grow up. I was a bad engineering student and proud of it and my life in IT is awesome, much better than those 60%+ students.

@karan: if u remain wid tcs for 10 yrs…u ll be a king…believe me man..u wil get a sal of over a lakh per month..nd if u really hv talent..u may earn a lot more..jst keep in mind dat u do hv to work hard..laziness will not help at all.
