Music, a word a line a paragraph unwritten on paper, written directly to hearts is called sound of life. This movie draws you to start loving music and feel the opera of music all around you.

Music is a new world where in heart too beats as per the chords or musical instruments. Truly a damn good movie to be watched and to learn the life of music.

Memorable Quotes
Wizard: You know what music is? God’s little reminder that there’s something else besides us in this universe, a harmonic connection between all living beings, every where, even the stars.

August Rush :The music is all around you, all you have to do is listen.

Louis Connelly: [Louis explaining not giving up music to August] You never quit on your music. No matter what happens. Cuz anytime something bad happens to you, that’s the one place you can escape to and just let it go. I learned it the hard way. And anyway, look at me. Nothing bad’s gonna happen. You gotta have a little faith.

August Rush: [opening voice-over] Listen. Can you hear it? The music. I can hear it everywhere. In the wind… in the air… in the light. It’s all around us. All you have to do is open yourself up. All you have to do… is listen.

Professionals sign up for Ahmedabad Cleanliness Drive

The Ahmedabad Mirror Cleanliness Campaign is no more confined to students, social outfits and residents of the localities dotting the cleanliness spot. This Sunday, professionals from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Domino’s Pizza joined the mission. Enthused by Tata group chairman Ratan Tata’s call to care for society and environment, TCS employees joined the drive under the banner of the Ahmedabad Maitree Group.

Assistant manager of TCS Alok Kumar Singh assured Ahmedabad Mirror of it’s continued support to the campaign. “We will be participating in the campaign every Sunday from hereon,” he said. Pankaj Kakani, a senior engineer with TCS, said: “We have initiated cleanliness steps on our premises at Infocity. But this is a much bigger platform. We have participated in several campaigns, including fire drills, to save people’s lives but none were of this scale. Several of us stay at Gandhinagar but we will be at the Cleanliness Campaign spot every Sunday,” he said, adding that TCS is an ISO 14001 certified company because of its environment management system.

Best LittleCo of 2008: Zoho

zoho_dec_08.jpgWe felt that Web Office vendor Zoho best represented the ‘LittleCo’ ethos this year, due to its David vs Goliath effort in competing head on with products from several very large companies: Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Salesforce.com’s core CRM platform.

Zoho not only competed with these bigcos, they were innovative and scrappy about it. And in a year that will be remembered for the economic downturn, Zoho is a reminder to us all that we can work ourselves out of a down economy.

Zoho made two of our year-end Top 10 Products list – in the International category and in the Enterprise catagory. It is an Indian startup that offers a number of office tools, project management software and CRM solutions. It made serious advances with its office productivity suite during 2008, reaching a milestone of 1 million users in August this year.

Some of the specific highlights this year include: updating Writer at the beginning of 2008 to include support for the DocX file format, along with several other features; adding support for Visual Basic compatible macros to Zoho Sheet in April, then macro record and playback four months later; releasing a marketplace in September; Zoho Mail emerging from private beta in October, while offering offline support via Google Gears.

Zoho

Our one note of caution with Zoho is that, as you can see from the above screenshot, it has so many products that it potentially spreads itself too thin. Some of its products show a lack of depth as a result – we focused on some of those issues in a post in September. So we’re not claiming Zoho has the Web Office market cracked, just as Twitter had some issues last year when we chose it as our Best LittleCo. But overall, we applaud Zoho for its continued innovation and for competing effectively against the big guns!

Disconnect handsets that do not have an IMEI number

Come January 6 and as many as 25 million mobile phones could be disconnected by the telecom operators.

Concerned about the terrorist attacks in the recent past, the department of telecom (DoT) has asked service providers to disconnect handsets that do not have an international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) number.

IMEI is a unique 15 digit code that identifies a mobile. It prevents the use of stolen handsets for making calls and allows lawful interception to prove the use of a particular device.

The IMEI number appears on the operator’s network whenever a call is made. DoT has asked the service providers to equip networks with Equipment Identity Register (EIR) to check whether calls are made from genuine handsets.

“In the interest of national security, all cellular mobile service providers in unified access service licences (UASL) are hereby directed to make provisions for EIR so that calls without IMEI or with IMEI consisting of all zeroes are not processed or rejected,” DoT said in a letter to operators on October 6.

“If switches do not have such a facility, the necessary hardware and software should be put in place within three months of the issue date of this letter and compliance reported,” it added.

Indian Cellular Association (ICA), the industry body for handset makers, believes that illegal IMEI handsets are being used as there is no validation of IMEI numbers in mobiles entering the country either through sea or air.

Moreover, there is no central mechanism to prohibit the use of stolen phones. The bulk of grey market phones, predominantly originating from China, do not have genuine IMEI numbers. ICA estimates around 25 million such handsets in the country.

However, some operators ET spoke to expressed their inability to meet the DoT deadline due to technical reasons. “What the DoT is trying to do is to block all calls with zeroes as IMEI numbers or from blacklisted numbers. That adds an extra load on networks. There are so many combinations of non-genuine IMEI numbers that it is extremely difficult to block them. Network upgradation is required to block all such calls and not all our multiple equipment vendors are equipped to do it,” a senior official told ET.

He further explained that interrogating all calls would delay call set-up time. “Switches will interrogate most of the time and may not be able to process any calls,” he added.

Another top official at a telecom firm said the move will affect customers who unknowingly bought mobiles without IMEI or whose numbers have been duplicated by others. “The duplicate devices currently being used will not last beyond two-three years. The way out is to check imports to stop entry of handsets without genuine IMEI into India,” he added.

Quit Playing Games with my Heart(Lyrics n Video) – Backstreet Boys

Never be a diplomat with your love! Quit Playing games with beloved heart as heartbeats are not at all prone to games

Lyrics
Baby, oh

Even in my heart I see
You’re not bein’ true to me
Deep within my soul I feel
Nothing’s like it used to be

Sometimes I wish I could turn back time
Impossible as it may seem
But I wish I could so bad, baby
Quit playin’ games with my heart

Chorus:
Quit playin’ games with my heart
Before you tear us apart (my heart)
Quit playin’ games with my heart
I should’ve known from the start
You know you got to stop (from my heart)
You’re tearing us apart (my heart)
Quit playin’ games with my heart

I live my life the way
To keep you comin’ back to me
Everything I do is for you
So what is it that you can’t see

Sometimes I wish I could turn back time
Impossible as it may seem
But I wish I could so bad, baby
You better quit playin’ games with my heart

Chorus:
Quit playin’ games with my heart
Before you tear us apart (my heart)
Quit playin’ games with my heart
I should’ve known from the start
You know you got to stop (from my heart)
You’re tearing us apart (my heart)
Quit playin’ games

Bridge:

Quit playin’ games with my heart

Chorus:
Quit playin’ games with my heart
Before you tear us apart (my heart)
Quit playin’ games with my heart

With my heart

As long as u LOVE me(Lyrics n Video) – Back Street Boys

As Long as she loves me, I hate to see anything else about her !! As her love for me is my world and i am least worried about things outside world

Lyrics
Although loneliness has always been a friend of mine
I’m leaving my life in your hands
People say I’m crazy and that I am blind
Risking it all in a glance
How you got me blind is still a mystery
I can’t get you out of my head
Don’t care what is written in you history
As long as you’re here with me

I don’t care who you are
Where you’re from
What you did
As long as you love me
Who you are
Where you’re from
Don’t care what you did
As long as you love me

Every little thing
That you have said and done
Feels like it’s deep within me
Doesn’t really matter
If you’re on the run
It seems like we’re meant to be

I’ve tried to hide it so that no one knows
But I guess it shows
When you look in to my eyes
What you did and where you’re comin from
I don’t care, as long as you love me, baby.

SlideShare Presents Your Newest Social App: PowerPoint

SlideShareSlideShare is the most popular social site for presentations on the Web. Microsoft PowerPoint – despite its detractors – remains the most popular presentation software around. What if those two had the power to work together? What if sharing new PowerPoint presentations was as easy as clicking a button?

Now, it can be. Today, SlideShare is introducing the “SlideShare Ribbon” an add-in that makes the sharing and social features of SlideShare accessible without even leaving PowerPoint.

imgSlideShareRibbon.jpg

Using the SlideShare Ribbon, users gain the ability to share presentations from within PowerPoint, update existing presentations with new content, search existing SlideShare presentations for examples, download SlideShare content for remixing, and view presentations from contacts and groups. User can also check their SlideShare statistics from within PowerPoint.

In short, SlideShare makes PowerPoint social.

That’s what makes this release so interesting. SlideShare has taken the opportunity to move beyond browser development – the traditional home of social features – to work on a different piece of desktop software. And in PowerPoint, SlideShare has chosen an app that, by and large, has not been seen as a venue for social behavior, at all.

The idea of using PowerPoint to access Web resources isn’t earth shattering. Microsoft has provided the ability to dynamically download PowerPoint clip art for quite some time. But that has always been within the realm of delivering Microsoft content to the user. This is the first time that those types of Web-based interactions have taken on more of a social-networking context – by delivering and sharing content from a variety of users. And that suddenly casts all desktop software in a new light – no matter how “unsocial” a particular app may seem.

No doubt this is just the first of many such add-ins that will imbue our most used applications with social features. And that will make even the most tedious of applications increasingly valuable to us.

To install the SlideShare Ribbon, you’ll need to PowerPoint 2007, Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, and .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.

HOW WE MISS OUT SOMETHING CALLED “LIFE”

Ack :- Amit Mittal

THIS IS HOW WE MISS OUT SOMETHING CALLED “LIFE”

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle fascinated by its color and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just five words.

QUESTIONS :
1. What were the five words ?
2. What is the implication of this story?

ANSWER :
The husband just said “I am with you Darling
The husband’s totally unexpected reaction is a proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle away, this would not have happened.. No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”.
Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears. And you will find things are
actually not as difficult as you think.

MORAL OF THE STORY:
This story is really worth reading. ….. Sometimes we spend time in asking who is responsible or whom to blame, whether in a relationship,in a job or with the people we know. By this way we miss out something called L.I.F.E
