Today I came across a reel where a woman was talking about men and relationships. She said something that stayed with me long after the reel ended.

She spoke about how some men keep trying.

They keep trying to save the relationship.

They call.

They text.

They explain.

They apologize.

Sometimes even when they know they are not wrong.

Not because they have no self respect. Not because they are weak.

But because for them, losing the relationship feels worse than losing an argument.

And while listening to it, I kept thinking how true this is for many people who love from the heart.

Anyone who genuinely loves.

The problem is that people only see the hundredth attempt.

Nobody sees the ninety nine attempts before that.

Nobody sees the nights spent wondering what more could have been done.

Nobody sees the messages typed and deleted.

Nobody sees the tears.

Nobody sees the silent prayers.

And then one day something changes.

The person who was always trying suddenly becomes quiet.

Not because they stopped caring.

Not because they stopped loving.

But because they are exhausted.

Because they finally realised that love cannot be carried by one person forever.

And that silence is often misunderstood.

People think the quiet person has moved on.

Sometimes the truth is exactly the opposite.

Sometimes they are hurting more than ever.

They have simply run out of ways to express it.

I genuinely wish more people understood this.

Never take for granted someone who keeps showing up.

Someone who keeps trying.

Someone who keeps choosing you despite misunderstandings, mistakes, distance, ego, and pain.

Because people like that are rare.

And when they finally stop trying, it is usually not because they wanted to.

It is because they no longer had anything left to give.
