The department of telecommunications (DoT) has rejected the plea of software service provider L&T Infotech, a wholly-owned subsidiary of engineering major L&T for dropping criminal prosecution against it for alleged routing of international calls from its leased line circuit to the PSTN network.

In its representation to the DoT, the company had urged that the breach be considered technical in nature without any malafide intentions and the matter is resolved through mutual discussions.
