Ever noticed transactions of Rs 99 paise or Re 1 in your credit card statement? If yes, then your credit card is being hacked.

‘Bleeding’ or ‘slicing’ of bank or credit cards is becoming increasingly prevalent in India, but customers often fail to notice the small transaction and even if they do, it rarely gets reported, according to security experts. Hackers launch such attacks on lakhs of customers simultaneously. They use other terminals, which they access through IRC chats or other means, thus minimising the chance of getting caught. …
