BBC Says Windows Media Player generally not available

While reading news across BBC, I came across something which doubts Microsoft presence in this world.

Even the World News Channel doubts on the presence or use of Microsoft Windows Media Player. If you try to watch a video on BBC you will be prompted with following pop up which clearly states
“Windows Media Player generally not available”
