    Dear TCSers,

It has come to the company’s notice that some TCSers have hosted the TCS Certainty ‘music’ video as well as the recent in- house ‘Certainty video contest’ entries on the popular video sharing site - YouTube.

As individuals / private citizens we have the right to express ourselves on forums such as YouTube, etc. One could always do this on ones own time, using one’s own resources.

However, in our role as TCSers, we need to be somewhat cautious in this regard:
    1. The Certainty ‘music’ video, for example’, is TCS’ property. It contains material and branding, that is protected by copyright and IPR. Any decision to host it on public sites would therefore need to be made by TCS.
    2. Video Entries for the Certainty video contest were created by enthusiastic TCSers, and we are grateful to all those who participated, and for the response we got to the contest. However, these videos contain company logos, TCS branding, music, etc that are copyrighted and protected. Moreover, contest rules clearly state that the submitted entries become the property of TCS. The decision to host these videos too, would therefore need to be made by TCS.

For the reasons above, we request all TCSers to refrain from proactively posting copyrighted material in video-form or otherwise, where the company’s branding and IPR may be compromised.

This is also a request to the TCSers that have mistakenly done so, to get the material removed from this site/or other sites at the earliest.

    Thank you for your understanding,

    Regards,
    Jayant Pendharkar

    Chirag,

Thank you for letting us know about the link you have put up to the TCS experience certainty video through your blog. While your intentions of sharing the video with visitors on your site is noble, we do not intend for this video to be for public consumption just now.

Request your immediate assistance in removing the link to the video from your blog.

    Thanks & Regards,
