Sweet Marriage Proposal

Ack :-  Manmeet R
When I saw your name next to mine,
In our wedding card,
I felt blessed.

When I saw you smile,
Seeing me in traditional bride groom dress,
I felt teased.

When I held your hand,
During the marriage rituals,
I felt responsible.

When you entered my lonely bachelor life,
And changed it into a heavenly abode,
I felt lucky.

When you showed the same love as I did,
Towa rds my parents,
I felt proud.

When you scolded me,
For neglecting my health amidst my hectic work,
I felt pampered.

When I saw you scream,
Crying out of labour pains,
I felt helpless.

When I saw tears of happiness in your eyes,
As you looked at our kid,
I felt blessed once again.

All these feelings have bloomed in my heart,
But are yet to blossom in reality.

As these are feelings I long to feel,
For these are still unfelt.

WILL YOU MARRY ME??

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy

Ack:- Divya Bajpai

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room’s only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats.Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene. One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by.
Although the other man couldn’t hear the band – he could see it. In his mind’s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words. Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone. Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, “Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.”

Epilogue:

“There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations”
“Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled”
“If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can’t buy”
“Today is a gift, that’s why it is called the present.”

Inspiring Thoughts – Part2

The real measure of a man’s wealth is what he has invested in eternity.

Laughter is God’s sunshine.

Everyone has beauty but not everyone sees it.

Thank God for what you have, TRUST GOD for what you need.

If you fill your heart with regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, you have no today to be thankful for.

Man looks at outward appearance but the Lord looks within.

Inspiring Thoughts – Part1

Anger is a condition in which The tongue works faster than the mind.

You can’t change the past, but you can ruin the present By worrying over the future

Love…and you shall be loved.

God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him.

All people smile in the same language.

Everyone needs to be loved…  specially when they do not deserve it.

Antoine Gombaud – Partly responsible for Probability theory

In 1654, Antoine Gombaud, Chevalier de Méré won quite a bit of money by betting that he could get at least one six in four rolls of a die. He reasoned the likelihood of a six was 1/6 on each throw. In four throws then, he believed his chances would be four times as good, for a probability of 4/6 or 2/3. This told de Mere that he would win two wagers for every one he would lose and virtually assure him of heavy profitrs. This was true for a time until he began to lose and eventually sent himself into bankrupty.

Due this his gambling problems, he is partly responsible for the development of probability theory. He sent letters to Blaise Pascal seeking reasons why his theory was not working. Pascal replied explaining his reasoning was incorrect and started to lead the presently-known development of probability.

Chevron – Will You Join Us?

Chevron acknowledges “the era of easy oil is over” at this new company web site. They ask, “How can we make oil and gas supplies last longer as the search for other fuels continues?”

Chevron has also placed prominent ads in major magazines acknowledging peak oil is upon us and the solutions are unclear. They appear to be raising the right issues. This is a good start.

Their open blog discussion is found here.

(It also appears they have trademarked the phrase “Human Energy” for a new logo.)

Cisco ‘Data Center Day’ to be Held in Mumbai on May 9

Cisco Systems Inc. has announced its plan to host a multi-city event aimed at highlighting the relevance of network-based architecture for next-generation data centers. The event ‘Data Center Day’ will be held in Mumbai on May 9, 2007 at Hotel Hyatt Regency.

As part of this event, Cisco along with representatives from IBM and Emerson will highlight the importance of aligning the data center IT infrastructure to an organization’s business objectives.

Cisco said that according to Gartner, 70% or more of IT budgets are dedicated to maintaining existing data center infrastructure rather than funding strategic new projects. Gartner’s recommendation is that IT organizations must improve the operational efficiency and utilization of data center resources, while building a resilient infrastructure that protects applications and services against disruptions and security attacks.

Perfect balance…

Ack:- Nikita Shah

God was in the process of creating the universe. And he was explaining his subordinates Look everything should be in balance. For example, after every 10 deer there should be a lion.

Look here my fellow angels, here is the country of the United States. I have blessed them with prosperity and money. But at the same time I have given them insecurity and tension….

And here is Africa. I have given them beautiful nature. But at the same time, I have given them climatic extremes….

And here is South America. I have given them lots of forests. But at the same time, I have given them lesser land so that they would have to cut off the forests…

So you see fellows, everything should be in balance.

One of the angels asked… “God, what is this extremely beautiful country here?”

God said……. “Ahah…that is the crown piece of all. “INDIA“, my most precious creation. It has understanding and friendly people. Sparkling streams, serene mountains. A culture which speaks of the great tradition that they live. Technologically brilliant and with a heart of gold…..

The angel was quite surprised: “But god you said everything should be n balance.” God replied — “Look at the neighbors I gave them.
