New Delhi: In Siri, West Bengal, a 14-year-old boy has been arrested on charges of murdering a 10-year-old girl – all for an iPod.

The victim, Seouli Dolui, a Class 5 student, was found dead near the Tilpara barrage after her parents filed a missing person’s report. She reportedly died after sustaining head injuries.

The accused, a Class 8 student, who was known to her family, took Seouli for a bicycle ride on Sunday afternoon. He allegedly pushed her over the barrage following an altercation over the electronic gadget which belonged to her and which she refused to part with.

The accused has, reportedly, confessed to the crime before the police. However, the police are not saying anything solid as of now.

Birbhum Superintendent of Police, Lakshmi Kant Meena says, “We have learnt about the incident and the investigations are on. We can’t say anything till the investigation is over.”, the victim’s father, Swapan Dolhi, has squarely placed the blamed on the boy and has demanded that swift action be taken to ensure justice.

Bala won’t win a medal but he will make India proud

There will be a first at the Beijing Olympics for India – L Balasubramanium, a sports fitness trainer, is heading to the Olympics and he is the first Indian trainer to be part of the Games.

“I am completely over the moon. Words cannot explain my happiness after I heard that I have been selected for Olympics,” Balasubramanium said.

There is more to this trainer than his child-like exuberance. Balasubramanium will be one of only 10 trainers at the Beijing Olympics and he credits his daughter for his success. Bala had to beat around 5,000 applicants to earn this once in a lifetime opportunity.

“I just applied for it and then the entire process began. The good news came on my daughter’s birthday,” Balasubramanium said.

Bala is presently managing the leisure centre at the Amby Valley City. Apart from being involved in wellness centres, he has in the past trained athletes and cricket league teams too but the Olympics is as big as it gets for him.

“It is the biggest platform to learn. I will be looking and learning from athletes from all over the world,” he said.

The trainer also has a ready list of athletes with whom he would love to work. “It will be my biggest challenge if I can train Asafa Powell or Tyson Gay,” he said.

Bala won’t win a medal but you can be sure that he will make India proud. Here’s wishing him the very best.

DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE – Heart Touching Story

Please DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE.

I was walking around in a BigBazar store making shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The Cashier said, ‘I’m sorry, but you don’t have enough money to buy this doll. Then the little boy turned to me and asked: ”aunty, are you sure I don’t have enough money?”

I counted his cash and replied: ”You know that you don’t have enough money to buy the dolll , my dear.” The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. ‘It’s the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much . Iwanted to Gift her for her BIRTHDAY.

I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.’ His eyes were so sad while saying this. ‘My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.”

My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: ‘I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.’ Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me ‘I want mommy to take my picture with her so my sister won’t forget me.’ ‘I love my mommy and I wish she doesn’t have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.’ Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ‘Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?”

‘OK’ he said, ‘I hope I do have enough.’ I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: ‘Thank you God for giving me enough money!’ Then he looked at me and added, ‘I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!” ‘I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy,

but I didn’t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses.’ I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn’t get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.. I couldn’t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

The DIR command gives you the information you want, but it isn’t yet in a form you can use in a Windows document—you can’t copy and paste the contents of the DOS window. Instead, you’ll use another native DOS technique: output redirection. Rather than allow the DIR command’s output to appear onscreen as it does by default, you’ll send it to a text file. To do so, you’ll use the > redirection operator, like this:
dir/b /s > dirlist.txt

Of course, you can use any file name you like and you can precede it with a file path. When you press [Enter], you’ll simply see the command line reappear. However, if you close the DOS session by typing exit and you return to Windows, you’ll find a new text file that contains the file names

Apple, Cisco tussle over iPhone name

Cisco’s Linksys division last month launched a family of “iPhone” devices. The Linksys phones include WiFi antennas, allowing users to make VOIP calls using their home wireless networks and services such as Skype or Yahoo Messenger.

According to a statement from Cisco on Tuesday, Apple has repeatedly sought permission from the networking company to use the iPhone moniker, and the two companies have recently been engaged in “extensive” negotiations over the name. Cisco said it expected Apple to quickly sign an agreement the company sent over late Monday to use the name, but as of press time, Apple still hadn’t signed.

iPhone has been the rumored name for Apple’s cell phone…………………..

Cisco not apple announces iPhone branded VoIP phones

Extracted From EnGadget

We hate to break it to everybody who thought the inevitable Apple phone was going to be called the iPhone, but Cisco, which has apparently had the trademark on the name since the 90s, is launching a line of Linksys “iPhone” VoIP devices (yes, that’s right, lower case “i”, uppercase “P”).

Why wait until now to launch the iPhone name? We can’t say for sure, but we imagine Cisco was probably trying to work behind the scenes to sell the rights to the name to Apple, but things didn’t pan out — but since “iPhone” is already a fairly ubiquitous brand without even being launched, hey, why not run with it? We won’t dwell long on the loss of the name iPhone to describe the Applephone (which is what we’ll henceforth be calling it), so on to the gear.

Expect to see the $180 iPhone Dual-Mode Internet Telephony Kit for Skype CIT400 (pictured), which from what we can tell, is merely a Skype handset; also, announced is the $200 iPhone Wireless-G Phone for Skype WIP320 (pictured after the break), a SIP VoIP phone.
